How to use ERC Finder for your research career

1

Find active ERC grantees in your field

Filter by ERC panel (LS5 for Neuroscience, PE6 for Computer Science…) and sort by most recent grants. These are researchers with 5-year funding windows.

2

Identify funding-rich institutions

ERC grants are highly concentrated in a few elite institutions. Filter by country or institution to see which labs attract the most ERC support.

3

Read the project abstract

ERC abstracts are detailed scientific descriptions. Read them to understand whether a lab's current direction fits your skills before reaching out.

4

Match your career stage

Starting Grants go to early-career PIs (2–7 years post-PhD). They are more likely to be actively hiring. Consolidator and Advanced Grant holders have larger, more established groups.
